Separate laundry room and terrace swimming pool. Large verandah overlooks garden; barbecue area at rear. Downstairs a roomy lounge with mountain views, dining room with French doors interleading, huge record and CD collection, hugh-end audio system, booklined study with PC, home entertainment system -- and extensive collection of DVDs -- sofa bed, lounger. It looks out over the pool and has mountain views. Spacious and well equipped modern kitchen. Two cosy dormer bedrooms upstairs, one with sea and mountain views, other with mountain view. Downstairs shower/toilet. Upstairs bathroom and separate loo on landing. Ten minute walk to beach. Ten-minute drive to other (Atlantic ) ocean and unspoilt beach in horsey country (beach great for riding). Wonderful beach and mountain walks abound.
Restaurants galore, close to numerous attractions and with picturesque neighbouring fishing village crammed with antique shops, art galleries, three theatres and excellent restaurants. Cape Town is richly varied, from Riviera style living on the Atlantic seaboard to the rugged mountains and distinctive villages and towns on the Indian Ocean side. Train from Victorian Simon's Town to Muizenberg right next to coastline, then through suburbs to heart of city. 55 mins. I'm a journalist and undemanding party of one.
