Must be willing to look after two elderly female cats, and feed numerous birds. House sitter available if you want to travel elsewhere for a few days. Area Details The Okanagan Valley is one of the primary fruit growing and and wine producing areas in Canada. There are also lots of farms, ranches and market gardens in the area. Geographically, it surrounds the ninety mile long Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, and one or two smaller lakes. The surrounding low mountains also have have many small lakes that are ideal for trout fishing, boating, and swimming. The area also has several golf courses, most of which are open to the public. It is a prime ski area in winter with two excellent hills (one hour and two hours away), as well as snowmobiling, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. The samll city of Kelowna is about one hour away. For local entertainment the is a Performing Arts Centre, a live Theatre company, art galleries, pubs,restaurants and night clubs.
