A record snowfall this past winter allowed for great skiing and snowboarding. Come summer, the days can be in the low 80s with cool, crisp evenings. 300 days of sun in Colorado makes the days feel even warmer. Breckenridge, originally a mining town, is over 100 years old and has kept its small-town feel without the "resort" atmosphere. The locals are warm and inviting, happy to share their lovely town with visitors from all over. Travel Details There is public transportation in Breckenridge (trolley-like buses) but a rental car is necessary if travelling from outside of the immediate vicinity.
