Bauhaus building. Total central European charm. Totally quiet. Closest house is 75 yards away. 5 minute walk to bus or cog wheel railway, and you are in urban amenity land in 10 minutes i.e. metro station, central bus station. We provide our own guide to Budapest (my partner has lived here her whole life).
Area Details
See above. As I said, truly woodsy (it is a protected area), beautiful walks up and on top of the mountain (600 meters). You see a panorama of all of Budapest from one balcony, plus the fields beyond the city, plus the mountains beyond that (about 90 km. away). From the other balcony you see a wooded hillside. Outside are walks through woods or quiet streets. This area is one of the most popular day excursion destinations in Budapest. There is a health club and swimming pool not far away, good restaurants on the mountain and many more down below, all cheap for Americans. A splendid place to write, or just be.
