Area Details In the lush Willamette Valley, this Capitol city has lovely government buildings, many museums and historic sites, good shopping and restaurants, and movie theaters. It is about an hour to the beach--Lincoln City is a bustling tourist area with shops, food, sites, motels, and a casino, right on the Pacific Ocean, w/several other fun towns on down the coast. Just 45 min. to woodsy, mountain areas for hiking, picnics, scenery, and an hour to snow for skiing. Also, an hour to large city of Portland with many more sights and events. Travel Details Good bus system, stop is 1/10 mi. from house. Amtrak & Greyhound for travel to other cities.
