Area Details Although the house is located in central Brussels (10 minutes from all major city sights, 1 hour from the North Sea and the Ardennes forest, or 2 hours from Paris, London, Amsterdam and Cologne), the neighborhood is residential -- quiet and safe -- but packed with fashionable boutiques, excellent Belgian restaurants, trendy bars and outdoor cafes. Ixelles is the Brussels equivalent of San Francisco's Marina District. Travel Details Every part of Brussels can be reached by public transport from the apartment. Streetcars and buses pass within 2 blocks of the apartment. This may not be necessary, however, as I would also like to exchange my car. For those wishing to travel long distance in Europe, the aiport is a 15 minute drive or taxi ride, and the main train station is 10 minutes away.
