Rustic one+ bedroom home and a two room cabin. House has outside deck with outdoor fire. Very secluded. Located on 225 acres of private forest. Includes water access, beach and cove with long walking trails in forest and along steam. Trails are on the property and through a private wild life preserve. Home has water views with a 1 min. walk to the Cove. You can Sea kayak directly from the cove and explore. Multi day trips are possible. Exchange includes Sea kayaks, sailing catamaran, mountain bikes and the possible use of 37' sail boat.
To get here you would normally fly into Seattle,WA and take a Kenmore Air (kenmoreair.com) float plane to West Sound, Orcas WA. Alternately, you may take a four drive and ferry from Seattle.
We are able to rent if a home swap is not a possibility at this time for you. We are very interested in swapping in Prague, and all of Scotland. Other area are of interest so please feel free to contact us. Since this is a large property and we have a quest house it is possible for us to do the exchange at any time if you can reciprocate. Area Details We are on Orcas Island in the US SanJuan's. There are hundreds of closely packed island groups separated by narrow waterways. Majestic Peaks over 14,000 feet rise from the water with mountain top glaciers within a days sail. Heavily forested islands and wilderness dominate the views. You can spend a lifetime just exploring nearby waters. Orcas Island has several small village/towns that offer many interesting shops restaurants.
