Comfortable living room with 36-inch TV, VCR and stereo, and adjoining patio. Modern kitchen with sunny dining area, garage and laundry facilities. This is an all electric home with central heat and air conditioning. No yard work is required. Car exchange possible. Arrangements could be made to meet you at airport.
Our home is situated in Camarillo, California USA, in a 375-acre retirement development, 50% of which is devoted to greenbelt and open space areas. The development is completely walled, maintains 24-hour security patrol and it is safe to walk alone on the streets at night. Camarillo is nestled picturesquely between the Pacific Ocean and towering mountain ranges, midway between the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles and the tranquility of the old Spanish missions in Santa Barbara. One of the original California missions is located just a few miles away. The climate is mild and one can enjoy outdoor activities throughout the year.
Enjoy an elaborate country club-type atmosphere that offers an 18-hole 3-par golf course, Olympic-size swimming pool, heated spa, tennis courts, fully equipped fitness center, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe diamonds, bocce court and billiards, as well as a library and scheduled entertainment. Fresh-water fishing and boating can be enjoyed at several lakes in the county, and saltwater devotees will find two beautiful harbors for their pleasure. There is also a quaint and delightful free fishing pier nearby. For those who just enjoy the surf and sand, there are miles of clean, uncrowded beaches.
There is convenient bus service for shopping, easy access to freeway and train service is available to areas north and south. This is a good central location for side trips to San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Mexico and mountain resorts. Professional sporting events are within easy commuting time, as are famous Southern California tourist attractions such as Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Hollywood studio tours and TV programs in production, the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and numerous other attractions. Modern medical facilities, hospital and shopping centers are located just minutes away.
We are a non-smoking, active, retired professional couple with a small, well-behaved and housebroken dog named Morgan (who thinks he is “people”). Morgan is a seasoned international traveler and enjoys new cultural experiences as much as we do. Simultaneous exchange is not essential and our time is flexible. We would care for your home as if it were ours. Preferences are Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain, Costa Rica, Germany, Austria……..or just about anywhere at the right time of year.
