My apartment complex is like a country club. Quite simply, it has everything! My apartment is called The Tower at Avalon Cove. I am on the 24th floor. The building has 26 floors. From my windows you have a magnificent view of Manhattan from before the Empire State Building all the way up the Palisades till past the George Washington bridge. My apartment is right on the waterfront with nothing in front to obstruct your spectacular view.
Right in front of my building is a ferry that goes directly into Manhattan in about five minutes. Two blocks from my apartment (less than a minute walk) is the new Light Rail. This goes along the waterfront (the Hudson River) in New Jersey from Bayonne to Hoboken. Five blocks from my apartment complex is the Path Train which takes you into Manhattan in about five minutes. There are also numerous buses in the area.
I pay $1892 per month rent for my 674 square foot one bedroom apartment. All the furniture was bought brand new when I moved into my apartment a couple of years ago. I am the first and only tenant in my apartment. Thus, the whole complex is only a few years old. All my furniture is from Italy, and includes a very fancy leather couch and a gigantic and unique entertainment center. The king-size bed was also made in Italy as well as the special gadgety coffee table. This item is unique as it is like a lazy susan in that you can spin it around and stop it as well as move the table up and down like a barber chair. It is one of many unique items I have in my apartment. My unit also has a washer dryer in it too! What else could you ask for? (-:
I also have two flat screen Sony televisions. The one in the living room is 36", and the one in the bedroom is bolted to the wall and is 43". When you watch it you feel like you are in a movie theater. I have just about every movie channel there is, and I also have my computer connected to the very fast cable. My cable bill alone is over one hundred and fifty dollars per month, so you know there's plenty to keep you busy on the TV 24 hours a day!
My kitchen, like the rest of the apartment, is also very modern with every imaginable amenity! The refrigerator has an ice maker. I also have a dish washer, coffee maker, microwave, a stove of course, a blender, a toaster oven, and lots more.
The apartment complex has two swimming pools, two tennis courts, two racquetball courts, two business centers with numerous computers connected directly to the Internet for free, two recreation rooms, eight barbecues and a large private picnic area, a gymnasium, a playground area for tots, free aerobic and kickboxing and other classes, and many other amenities too numerous to mention. Of course, there's controlled access to the building, and thus there's a doorman 24 hours a day!
There are quite a few web sites that you can go to see pictures of my building and the whole complex. Some of these pictures include the magnificent view of the city that you see from my windows. Also, there is an exact layout of my apartment in one of these sites also if you are interested. (my layout is called the royalton) Here are three of the sites below. I live in downtown Jersey City, a stone's throw to Manhattan. The area I live in has grown tremendously in the past few years, and everything you can find in the biggest cities in the country you can find in beautiful downtown Jersey City. A few blocks from my house is a gigantic mall with eleven movie theaters and such large department stores including Macys, JC pennies, and Sears. Directly across the street from my complex is another large retail complex with a 24 hour a day new Shop Rite, a BJ Wholesalers, a Pep Boys auto supply and repair store, and a Nobody Beats the Wiz.
Within the past year downtown has also added many new modern hotels. This includes a beautiful Hyatt that just opened a few months ago on a pier right near my apartment. The whole neighborhood is a very safe area and there's easy access to just about anywhere you might want to go to!
