Property Details
Location, location, location. Our home is a lovely 3 bedroom (plus study) family home located in Wantirna, a leafy suburb at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges (28km east of Melbourne (suburb next to where "Neighbours" was filmed!)).

Our house comfortably sleeps 4. The main part of our home features a large kitchen/meals area, lounge/dining room, study and 3 large bedrooms, bathroom and ensuite. We have all the usual mod cons, such as dishwasher, ducted heating, computer (with internet connection), sewing machine, washer and dryer. We also have a huge garage/retreat/bathroom which could be used as extra accommodation. It has white tiles on the floor and has plaster walls. It currently has a lounge suite and stereo in it.

We have an Australian native garden (very low in maintenance - which I have recently planted) and a wonderful private backyard (with a tropical theme - planted with palms and tree ferns) which is excellent for children. We often sit out on warm nights and have a BBQ and the children ride their bikes or play in their huge sandpit. Native colourful birds (rosellas, rainbow lorikeets, parrots) inhabit our garden. We have an automatic car and would be willing to exchange.

Our house would ideally suit a family (as we have all the children necessities eg. baby car seats, car booster seats, port-a-cots, cot, high chair, single pram and double pram - not to mention books, videos and toys appropriate to the age of our children, being nearly 3 and nearly 5.
Area Details
Melbourne has just been voted the world’s best city (7/2/04) (for the second year in a row - along with Vancouver in Canada and Vienna in Austria). The London-based Economist Intelligence Unit rated 130 cities on criteria including housing, education, crime, health, recreational activities, the risk of terrorism and weather. Our Lord Mayor John So said Melbourne weather, diversity and friendly people made it the most livable city in the world.

Locally we are within walking distance (1km) from one of the biggest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere which has cinemas and a vast array of restaurants and shops. We are within easy driving distance to wineries, potteries, art and craft galleries, hot hair ballooning, an excellent Australian wildlife park, bushwalking tracks and a vintage steam train that meanders up through the mountains. The beach is approx. 40 mins drive away.
Travel Details
We are located approx. 30 minutes by train or car into Melbourne city. The nearby Eastern and South Eastern Freeways connects to Melbourne and international airport. There is a bus stop at our front door which takes you to the local railway station for connection to Melbourne.
