Property Details

A beautifully restored house (by English owners)with many original features including terracota floor tiles, wooden ceiling beams, metre thick walls, outer walled courtyard. Lovingly restored but with modern conveniences including a new Amercican style kitchen.
The house is over 180 sq metres and has a large kitchen/diner plus a big lounge with SKY satellite TV. There is a rear walled courtyard and on the third floor there is a sun bathing terrace with views to the mountains. The master bedroom has a library and it's own lounge (with TV & video)plus ensuite bathroom.
Close to tourist resorts, excellent restaurants and within 20 minutes drive of the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundo Mar zoo, Vergel Safari park and Aqualandia water theme park. Loads to do!
At the sametime the Jalon valley is unspolit with mountain climbing, walking & cycling. Area Details Senija is nearly mid - way between the ancient city of Valencia (a cultural gem) and Alicante on the Costa Blanca.
The house is perfectly situated to experience life as the Spanish live it and at the sametime you are an easy drive away from the international beach resorts of Javea, Moraira & Calpe.
Senija is at the entrance to the Jalon Valley and a few minutes from BENISSA and is well known for its natural beauty. The valley is famed for its wine production and in January its beautiful almond blossom. The village of Jalon has a very large market on a Saturday that is partly devoted to antiques. Close by is a Bodega (winery) where you can sample and buy local wines. These tend to be rather strong as they are brewed to 15%, but are also extremely palatable. Passing through the Jalon you come to the village of Alcalali where there is an abundant choice of traditional Spanish restaurants, all of which provide an excellent choice of menu at very reasonable prices. From here you can take the winding scenic route to Callosa, on the way seeking the vantage points from where it is possible to see the whole of the Jalon Valley and surrounding areas, on a clear day it is possible to see the island of Ibiza. Travel Details There is a railway connecting Benissa to Alicante but otherwise a car is essential.
